Ligand-capped all-inorganic perovskite nanocrystals for blue light emitting diodes
Despite rapid progress in green and red perovskite light emitting diodes (LEDs), corresponding advancements in blue perovskite LEDs have been challenging. In this study, we have explored different compositional and ligand-capping approaches for demonstrating high photoluminescence quantum efficiency (PLQE) and improved charge transport in allinorganic blue emitting perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) synthesized by an ultrasonication process. Using (S)TEM imaging and EDX analysis, we aim to gather information about the size distribution and elemental composition of our NCs. Furthermore, HR(S)TEM imaging and SAED measurements will be essential to obtain the interplanar distances and structural information of our synthesized perovskite compositions. Results obtained from such investigations will help to substantially advance our understanding of blue emitting perovskite NCs, with exciting implications for electroluminescent LEDs.
